QUESTION
What type of Atty do I need to file a suit against a child abuser (sexually abused my child at 9),who was found guilty in first trial.

Found not guilty in second trial. Def Atty was abusive to her on witness stand. Az case. She is now 17. Serious emotional scars. Example of abuse by def Atty; brought sofa she was sexually abused on into court, said if you weren''t wearing dress I would have you get on sofa...she was 11 and 13 in trials!!! We had to use state prosecutor, defendant hired hotshot. I need help, this is just wrong on every level. Thank you

The kind of attorney you may be able to engage is one who practices personal injury law. I am sure you understand that the objective of the civil litigation system is to obtain money damages for the injuries (psychological and otherwise) suffered; the criminal matter is over and may not be retried. Another practical limitation is that you cannot recover money from a defendant who does not have any (he is said to be "judgment-proof"). Good luck.
