More details to this question:
This is a follow up... Kind of. I wanted to press b misdemeanor disorderly conductcharges on an manager for consecutively calling another associate a nigger in front of other associates over a period of weeks at walmart. The store manager was upset at me and threatened termination if i did so, instead he said he would open up a redbook investigation instead. that''s not the main point. The point is my friend from another walmart asked him if he would promote me to transfer out to a higher position at his store, the store manager refused to do so because he said that there was an investigation and couldn''t let me go, iv never been able to even be considered for a promotion in 2 yeas even though i qualified because of that excuse. Come to find out, when i asked home office for a record it doesn''t exist, he never finished it, Polly never even turned any of it in, yet continued to use it as an excuse to keep me where i was, he transferred out, leaving me with question

As a general matter, if you are merely a witness to name-calling, you haven't suffered any legal harm. Last I checked, name-calling wasn't a crime.
