Is it age discrimination if an employer, a private high school, determines annual raises based on years worked with less going to the more senior employees? For example all teachers who have been there 1-7 years get 3% increase, 8-19 years get 4%, and 20+ get 2%. Not done by merit, but strictly length of service with the more senior members receiving less.
This certainly sounds like it may be age discrimination. Contact an attorney to discuss this matter further.
