QUESTION
Auto Insurance Company violating my rights?
Asked on Apr 18th, 2014 on Civil Rights - New Jersey
More details to this question:
My husband has an insurance policy on his motorcycle that does not include me. He uses 2 separate company's, one for motorcycle, one for car/truck that I am listed on (since I do not have a motorcycle license or care to drive one). His motorcycle was stolen, person who stole it was being apprehended by police and crashed the motorcycle. The insurance company sent a letter stating that they wanted my husband's financial records for all account, ezpass statements, and cell phone records for his business and personal phone for the last 4 months. Then the letter states they also want mine. As I said ,I am not on this insurance,at all,I never even read what policy my husband has on HIS motorcycle.Should I seek legal help? I feel as though I am having my privacy taken away.** Sorry for topic selection, I had no clue what this would be listed under.

You are in a difficult position. The insurance company is looking for a reason to deny coverage. You cannot give them the reason to deny coverage. I would work with the insurance company. Pleaseeat me know if you need help. We have had good fortune with insurance companies. Ed Dimon, Esq.
