More details to this question:
I started a job on Tuesday Feb. 2nd, working as a dental assistant, I informed my office manager that I am pregnant and the next day I was dismissed due to the fact that I cannot perform my job function as I would have to be near nitrous oxide and it causes miscarriage. I would just like to know my rights, and also there is another dental assistant in the office who is 19 weeks pregnant and continues to be employed there.

The key is proving your case. You need a written record of why you were terminated. You must put the employer on notice about your discrimination. Why were you terminated and the other pregnant person allowed to stay ? Ask the question of fellow employees and develop a written record. You need proof. Ed Dimon
