can I sue an ex coworker

you can sue the person who wrote the false complaint. you would be the plaintiff and would have the burden of proving the case. you would also have the burden of proving how you were damaged and the extent of your damages. then you would have the burden of collecting the judgment against the defendant.  do you have the proof ? how were you damaged ? does the person have money to pay you ? how much are you willing to spend in legal fees to attempt this effort ? the legal fees would be significant. ed dimon, esq.
