QUESTION

Can white males be discriminated against?

Asked on Sep 04th, 2017 on Discrimination - Indiana
More details to this question:
Last week I went to a job interview, I'm very qualified for the position. During the walk through interview where they take me on the tour I was escorted by two managers that are a part of the hiring committee. Towards the end of the walk through the one who was the lead in giving the tour told me that the person in my position should be someone of color or ethnic background as majority of the staff is either African or Latino. He then said that all the leadership was white and they needed to quit hiring people who were white. I then was asked if I spoke Spanish, I stated that I can speak a little French and the other manager said "Well the African's will get along with you." Then we proceeded back into the building and wrapped up the interview. I have not been selected to continue with the process. I spoke with the prior person in the role and they were Latino. I have a feeling I was discriminated against because I'm white, if that's even possible or is white excluded?
