QUESTION

discrimination at work

Asked on Oct 11th, 2018 on Discrimination - New Jersey
More details to this question:
To give a summary, I filed a complaint over the phone to my manager around June 15th. He then reached out to HR around June 20th. An email from the HR department was sent to the company, advising everyone to be respectful in the office. However, till this day, the comments are still in the workplace. I was harassed for over a month and I do not wish to experience that again. I recently recorded a conversation in the office. The recorded conversation is a bit low quality but I can hear my colleague saying the inappropriate comment. Based on what I have on file, do you think there is a case that we can win?

You have done an excellent job of filing the complaint and recording the violation thereafter. Please provide the violation to the employer in order that they are put on notice of the violation. The employer will have to act. Keep careful and detailed written records and provide to employer. The key to your success is the response of the employer. Ed Dimon, Esq. 732-797-1600
