I need advice!! Being misrepresented for a child molestation case!!

More details to this question:
What do I do? My attorney has not provided me with any documentation reguarding my civil case for the last year and a half, would not answer or return my calls and I have not met with him since I signed him to my case. Two weeks before trial he firmly told me I needed to accept $32,000 or if we went to trial I would likely get a judgment but never see it. I believe that he wasnt prepared for my case and did not fight for me. The worst part is that I virbally agreed to the settlement two months ago and was expecting to recive my first installment next month and never recieved the settlement agreement until I called on friday. I read the agreement and it states things such as I have been informed and understand everything and am bound to the contract but have never been told half of whats on the agreement. My attorney lied and said we cant go after any real esate 20+ acres and house because was transfered in business but is within 3 years. Any advice? would be greatly appreciated!!

You are the master of your destiny, and you don't have to be pressured into a settlement agreement by a lawyer looking for the fast buck.  You can switch lawyers at any time.  Best bet is to find a lawyer who handles sexual abuse cases.  Also, find a lawyer with a low contingency fee, less than 30%, so you are left with the lion's share of the settlement, not your lawyer.  You can read more about sexual abuse cases and sexual abuse settlements on my website.  Good luck to you. The answer does not create an attorney-client relationship and is for informational purposes only.   Only 29% fee deducted.   Lassen Law Firm 1515 Market St #1510 Philadelphia, PA 19102 215-510-6755 http://www.InjuryLawyerPhiladelphia.com
