More details to this question:
My principle ignored two dr letters about what too much stress, mental and physical would do to my fibromyalgia and RA and recommended I be taken out of that position. I pleaded with her and a union rep to move me from the position she put me at school. She didn't and continued to write me up. Its a special needs school and I was being ran all over to help all classes because she said nobody wanted to work with me. Its because I was reporting (nothing done) our risk manager was bringing his wife who had alzh/dementia to school for 2 years and staff was babysitting while he worked. I have a disabled adult at home as well, single and my mom and sister took my son to all his appts. and ive been written up 9 times for stupid crap including attendance for taking time off for my son and finally a letter to dismiss. I just appealed and im waiting for my pre-trial hearing date. I want to file a complaint and Im fairly confident my reports can be proven.

If your employer is large enough, the Americans with Disabilities Act affords you a “reasonable accommodation” for a disability, which your fibromyalgia might be depending on its severity. Whether your accommodation—reassignment—is reasonable also depends on the size of the company, whether qualified staff were available, and a lot of other case-specific information. If you are a union member, your collective bargaining agreement may give you other rights as well. You may be a victim of retaliation depending on what the principal’s real reason for writing you up is. Please call us to schedule a consultation so that we can get the relevant information from you.
