Is it illegal for a teenager to view pornographic material?

As a parent is it illegal for me to provide my teenager (15+) with access to pornography for educational/exploratory purposes? Pornography here meaning "normal" non violent "vanilla" porn that has been screened for content. I'm wondering what laws cover such an act specifically.

I think that it is illegal to sell or provide pornography to a minor in the same way that it is not legal to give alcohol to a minor. Of course, what you do in the privacy of your own home, as a parent, is your own business, but it would still be illegal.
