More details to this question:
I have taken out a few loans and got behind because i went on maternity leave early because my son was born 1 month early. So i called 1 of the places to tell them i start working and when i can do a payment and he told me that other loan places called them asking about me and if i have a loan there? The manager said i didnt tell them anything. But are loan placed allowed to call and ask other loan places if i have a loan with them?

I am not aware of any privacy laws that would prohibit a first loan company from calling and asking a 2nd loan company if you have a loan with that 2nd loan company. It would be up to your agreement with the 2nd loan company as to whether they would tell the 1st loan company anything.
