the police have the protections of the state when mistakes are made. as such, the mistakes/errors/omissions have to be serious and the consequences have to be serious. we bring actions against the police all the time. however, the victim is either dead or badly hurt. in your case, we would have to examine the seriousness of the mistakes and the consequences. what were the consequences to your daughter ? how was she damaged ? we would use our private investigator to save you costs. his cost would be under $1000. after he completes his investigation, we can tell you of your chances for success and what the case would cost you.  ed dimon, esq. 732-797-1600
