My son started a new job today. he was under the impression is was 7 am-4 p.m. Today he worked 7am-7-pm .

The supervisor told him that he had to work 16hors/day 5 days a week and he travels 1/2 hour each way to work. They have a 5 point system and if he calls out or eat he is fired. He told them he had a 10 year old little girl and he couldn't do it and had to leave today at 7p.m. Is this employer right to demand this of him or is he wrong. He doesn't want to quit because in tennessee where he lives to get a full time =job. He is a great man, rssponseable, dependable, honest. Does he have a reason to file a unfair lawsuit?
