Store Discrimination

Asked on Dec 15th, 2014 on Discrimination - New Jersey
More details to this question:
Good morning yesterday i was shopping at a local liquor store,my first time in the store purchased a bottle of wine. Exited the store then moments later forced to the ground and handcuffed by a police officer with a dog. Stating the store owner accused me of stealing a 60 dollar bottle of liquor from thier store last week. i never set foot in that place to begin with. I asked if they had any surveillance footage. They did not respond, they released me due to the fact i have had no prior convictions. i asked for the officers information they did not give it to me. My question is can i sue the store owner for discrimination, for wrongfully accusing me of the crime?

Yes. You can sue for Wrongful Arrest. If there was no basis for the arrest, you will be successful. Do you witnesses ? How will you support your position ? The key is proving your case. Was there a video camera in store ? Please call if we can help. Ed Dimon
