QUESTION

Was I discriminated against

Asked on Mar 07th, 2018 on Discrimination - New Jersey
More details to this question:
I went to court yesterday for shoplifting charge of 10 dollars of food, my first offense ever but had the book thrown at me because after the prosecutor asked me if it was my first offense I said yes but the police captain said to me are you sure which I didn't understand his remark only to say I feel I was treated unfairly because my daughter has the same name as me and has been arrested many times, I also had my pocket book stolen 2 yrs ago which had my SS card, my fingerprints will not come up on the computer which made things worse for me, I've been a hard worker & raised 4 kids on my own, may have destroyed my fingerprints in the long run, thank you.

Update Your Profile
You should work closely with the prosecutor and police to make them understand that this is your first offense and that your daughter is the person who has been arrested on multiple occasions. This is the solution. Ed Dimon, Esq,
