More details to this question:
I am almost 20 and still live at home with my parents. I am thankfully finally allowed to start college this fall. My parents do not allow for anything. I am not allowed to have friends or talk to anyone online, they go through my stuff, they feel its their job as parents to be able to hold me accountable for everything I do. They control my entire life. I wanted to go to law school when I was younger and am beginning to think it would have been a great idea! I would like to know what the legal laws for me are. I am almost 20 but I do still live with them. Legally what are they allowed to do?
You are an adult and have been for a couple years. However, while you live under their roof, you likely must follow their rules. Consider moving out and running your own life. Legally, they cannot prohibit your from having friends or communicating online. Good luck.
