What is the best thing to do now

More details to this question:
One of my children to his friends house, his friend forgot his house key so his friend proposed to go in by the window . A neighbor did not recognized the kids and the policy. The police came and the kids got scared and run away from the police. One of the kids ( the one that lives in the house ) was taken to the police station until his mom was called there. My son got home after running away from the police. What should we do now. ?The kids did no do anything else than been scared of an officer and the reaction was to run. Should my son and I go to the police ? Or wait for them to send a court or any notification? Please help , I do not our rights.

I would go to the police with your son and explain the entire situation. I would obtain the cooperation of the parents who owned the home and the child who lived in the home.
