Can I be sued for libel?

More details to this question:
I called a manager of an assisted living place useless, unprofessional, and rude in an e-mail to another manager. The other manager forwarded the e-mail to the manager I called unprofessional, etc. Would he have reason to sue me?

When something unkind is spoken, the person at whom it is aimed calls it defamation; the speaker of the words calls it first amendment free speech.
