Can you gert someone to retract a statement they made that is a lie?

More details to this question:
Someone lied about me on yelp, and it is hurting my business. Can I sue or have them retract their statement. I have been in business for 27 years without a problem until now.

It depends if it is an opnion or a statement of fact. If it is a statement of fact that is false you likely would have a defamation claim. If it is something that you think will negatively impact your business I would suggest that you have an attorney write a letter demanding that the comment be removed.
