More details to this question:
York County sheriffs Department recently posted a picture of me walking my dog and said that I was stole a sign and I was accused of larceny and public destruction of property. The sign wasn’t stolen. There was no property damage. Is there a defamation of character lawsuit here they put it all over Facebook, everybody in our community knows

If you were charged criminally, its likely public record, and not actionalble. If you were not, it might be an issue if it was posted solely to humiliate or embarrass you.
