my school lost a school contract with another school, many are upset we are leaving the district. This all happened over the last few days. This evening I received an email from my supervisor (off site) that states she has heard that I said something to the effect that if they charged 20.00 less an hour we would keep the contract and that this rumor is spreading that I said it. She stated in email that this rumor she heard from someone has been reported to her and it has reached administrative levels and she wants to meet with me on Monday. The only thing is I never said it . What recourse do I have ? I have denied this through email and said I want to meet Monday at 9:00 to personally deny it. Should I tape the meeting?
what is your role in the school losing the contract ? were you negotiating on behalf of the teachers ? if you had no official role, i would not be concerned. ed dimon, esq.
