QUESTION

Falsely accused at work

Asked on May 18th, 2018 on Libel, Slander and Defamation - Florida
More details to this question:
A person falsely accused me of bad behavior in a meeting I was helping with IT related work. This person included managers and directors that were in the meeting when making the false claim with my manager. I was automatically given a verbal warning. I went to HR and they conducted an investigation cause I have the names of just about everyone that was in that meeting. After 2 weeks I Cleared and told it was a mis understanding on the accusers side. How can this be a mis understanding??? After she had included everyone that was in the meeting. Anyway bonus time came and I did not get a bonus and also did not get a raise when the time came. I need to get this out of my chest it bothers me every day and can not forget about it no matter how hard I try. How can someone be this evil and not face any consequences after lying to HR and falsely accuse others?

Because its not gradeschool or college with safe spaces and crying rooms with stuffed animals or teachers to run to when you feel bullied. Its the real world, with real people and somes times people just suck. Learning to deal with and recognize such situations is the skill set to be learned in the business enviroment so focus on this being a learning opportunity and a means to grow your ability handle such issues in a mature fashion.
