Hello. I am being verbally harassed by a person who has mutual friends. I have asked them to cease contact with me and they won’t. Is there anything I can do legally to make them stop contacting me? At this point I have seen them try to drag my name through the mud because I do not wish to speak with them. I no longer feel safe.

You can seek a restraining order in criminal court. These are done without a lawyer. Ask the court clerk to help.
