QUESTION

How do I know if I have enough to make a case for defamation?

Asked on Aug 20th, 2018 on Libel, Slander and Defamation - Florida
More details to this question:
A woman my ex fiance cheated on me with is currently calling around asking for my address so that she may 'put me in jail for threatening her'. I heard about this recently from a prior coworker who received her call. It's likely that she's been saying I've threatened her to many others, but nothing I've said or done to her can be held as a threat. I've never even met this woman in person.

You wont until a jury tells you that you win. These are simply volatile cases oftem driven by emotion on both sides which makes the expensive, though sometimes necessary cases to pursue.
