QUESTION

Is it possible to sue a Workers Comp attorney and three of their doctors for libel?

Asked on Jan 11th, 2014 on Libel, Slander and Defamation - Florida
More details to this question:
The employers attorney states I am either a drug dealer or drug addict or both at my doctor's deposition. I recently had to go back for another one of their independent medical exams and received their evaluations, which now state they all think the same thing. This had never been mentioned at the other three or four IME appointments. Neither statements are true. How can I get another job with this on my records? I have worked in the medical field for 30 plus years with an exceptional work history.

Will be extremely hard given possible application of litigation immunity. If you are interested in truly pursuing such a claim, these cases are typcially handled by lawyers on a retainer/hourly rate basis and not a contingent fee where the lawyer getspaid if he wins.
