QUESTION

Is this grounds for a lawsuit? If so is this considered personal or work?

More details to this question:
My former employer (who is currently my landlord) has accused me of stealing. These accusations are completely false but she has went as far as calling other businesses in the area bad mouthing me so they wouldn't hire me. Lucky for me it didn't effect me getting hired elsewhere but When She got news of this she came to my job and spoke with the owner bad mouthing me. It didn't effect my boss's decision to keep me. But Now she is showing up where I live (I'm still her tenant) and bad mouthing me. To make matters worse she put an eviction notice on my door. I was current but didn't make this last payment in fear I'd have to leave before this month is up.
