a dog club has suspended us on ground of unsportsmanlike conduct,miss-use and misrepresentation of member or board member. they say that they have had several complaints of our behavior and been made aware of several instances of which we have misrepresented our selfs as other that simple members. We have no idea what they are referring to and were not given a notice of said complaints or an opportunity to defend our self as per there By-laws. They have also posted this in there news letter and this has affected our reputation in the breeding and showing of our dogs This is a national club
Sounds like you may very well have a claim for defamation. I would need to know a few more details before I can give you advice about the best way to move forward, but typically in defamation matters I start with a demand letter and than proceed with a lawsuit if the demand letter does not achieve the desired result.
