Slander / Defamation of Character Case?

At my place of employment the supervisor informed the next shift that I yelled at him and that he'll have me taken care of. He furthermore, started to them that I'm incompetent. I did not yell at him and the conversation in question occurred with another supervisor present. The statements in which he made about me he made to staff members in which I'm their immediate supervisor.
