I Went into the gas station by my house he newer clerk told me that I wasn't allowed to shop there anymore. Customers continue to come into the store as she told me that I was seen on camera shoplifting. She said she could not show me the surveillance camera footage and that I would have to wait until Monday for supervisor to come in. She very loudly told me that I had to leave the store in front of every customer in there. I was mortified. I tried to call and contact corporate and left a message. She had given my mom the phone number So I could call on Monday. I called the store 2 or 3 times until I got ahold of her the same evening. I explained to her that I don't steal and that I would be more than willing to meet the police there. She told me she could check the camera when she got off. Unless you can get access to the video tape at issue or a "confession" from the corporate office that you were misidentified, you will likely be spending thousands of dollars in legal fees suing the store and the manager to get to the bottom of the issue. If thats in your budget and something you want to pursue it can be done - but you wil lhave to show that they made such accusations falsely.
