QUESTION

Auto body shop lists improper parts

More details to this question:
I love on Long Island NY . I dropped a car off for repairs from a parking lot hit. Hood , grill bumper. Insurance adjuster went , looked and 4 days later my insurance company calls says ok $10,500 in damage. No one from the shop called me to let me know anything so i went there and she said they are working on it ? I don't believe there was any where near that in damage . So for time restraints and the owner being away , I leave it there. They claim it needed , headlights ($1246 per) to which I found out from dealer they are. $668. And that's from the dealer ! Amongst research of part #s on invoice several items listed said " does not fit vehicle" when search for my exact vehicle , items where cheaper. My insurance company cut the check to the shop directly. How can I get restitution for being over charged on these parts. And also for the adjuster approving an inflated repair estimate. Thank you.

I do not understand.  Did you have to pay out of pocket?  If insurnace paid inflated prices you can tell the insurance company but that is between them and the adjuster.  You should just get your car back.
