Brought 2003 car from used car dealer. Very next day after picking car the check engine light came on. Called dealer and person who sold me car said the will pay 50% and to take car to AUTO zone to find what the codes are. We did that and also had vehicle looked at by mechanic. He said the car is a piece of junk and has major problems. Called back dealer and they changed story and said the owner said take to his mechanic. Took to mechanism they said only had two problems oxygen sensors and catalytic converter. Total price $700. I talked to owner and felt the price was low enough that he wasn't willing to pay. He said he would lose money. So we got oxygen sensor done, went to get the car inspected. The light came back on just when it was my turn to get inspected. Notified his mechanic. I also took to another mechanic who also agreed with first mechanic that it needed over $2000 work and the engine can go at any time. Even if you fix something something else will happen.
