QUESTION

Custom Book Order Nearly $7,000 - Book Never Received, No Refund

Asked on May 29th, 2017 on Consumer Fraud - New Jersey
More details to this question:
Placed an order nearly two years ago for creation of a custom book, with a very prestigious bookmaking company in NJ. They have continually made excuses as to why book is delayed. I have stated that by May 31st I want book delivered to me, or full refund (nearly $7,000). If they once again make excuse, can I retain attorney on contingency basis, based upon NJ consumer fraud law to recover three times what they have taken from me?

You need a detailed and complete written record to support your position. You need to have this record with the book company. You need to put them on written notice of your intentions. I do not believe that an attorney will do this case on a contingent basis. Ed Dimon
