how can i sue a person stealing from me?

More details to this question:
because i didint have a bank account at the time i let my stimulus checks go to my then girlfriend bank account i got the first one by the next payment we were apart i see my second payment inline has been issued and she took it what can i do about this?

Try filing a police report. If the police say it is a civil matter, you can file suit in small claims court in the county where she lives. You will likely never see your money even if you do win, because we do not have wage garnishment here.
