I BOUGHT A 2014 CORVET IN MARCH OF 2014

I AGREET TO GO AND LOOK AT THE CAR AFTER SPEAKING WITH A SALES PERSON AND ASKING WHAT OPTIONS THE CAR HAD.. I DID NOT HAVE PERFORMANCE EXHAUST SYSTEM, BUT THE SALES PERSON SAID NOT A PROBLEM, WE CAN INSTALL THAT SYSTEM. I BOUGHT THE CAR AND THE SALES PERSON HANDED ME AN INVOICE FOR THE EXHAUST SYSTEM. I CALLED LATER IN THE WEEK TO ARRANGE FOR AN INSTALLATION DATE, AND WAS THEN TOLD IT COULD NOT BE INSTALLED ON THE CAR BECAUSE GM DID NOT PROVIDE THE KIT REQUIRED. I WROTE A LETTER TO THE DEALERSHIP OWNER, AND TO GM. BOTH RESPONDED AND AFTER SEVERAL CONVERSATIONS WITH BOTH, THEY AGREED TO ORDER ME A NEW CAR WITH ALL THE OPTIONS I REQUESTED. I MADE IT CLEAR THAT THE ONLY EXPENSE I WOULD PAY FOR WAS THE COST OF THE PREFORMANCE EXHAUST AND THE CROME WHEELS I ORDERED. SO FAR SO GOOD. THE CAR IS IN ROUTE TO THE DEALERSHIP, AND I SPOKE TO THEM THUR TO CONFIRM DATE OF DLV. THE DEALERSHIP IS ALREADY HINTING THAT THE CAR WILL COST ME MORE MONEY ... WHAT LEAGAL GROUNDS DO I HAVE TO FIGHT?

Its impossible to tell without looking at all the documents and details. Why people will enter into contracts for cars often costing as much or more than a house, and never think to hire lawyers to review the paper work in advance I simply will NEVER understand. In your situation "you making it clear" is not a proper legal standard, as this should have been spelled out in writing so there was no further confusion. HOPEFULLY, this will work out for you with no hitches. IF it goes south, you may find yourself spending a signficant amountof attorney's fees to try to sort it all out since your asking about legal rights and obligations AFTER the deal was done.
