A bank in my town has made their money by cheating ppl n charging them fees. If you have a credit n debit going in at same time, they will put debit in first before credit, then charge you so many fees. On my last chk, they took the whole $2,000 cause they put all debits in even tho my direct deposit was sitting there for them to confirm. Now I'm being told by Barrett Law in LA that I have until end of the month to come up with $2,000. If not then at court I'll have pay $6,000. Like I told them, I'm single mom of a 7 yr old. We live with my parents who are extremely sick. I don't have a job due to taking care of them. I asked if I could fight this cause I don't feel I owe them any money. The person told me no. It's an open n shut case. Now I thought this was America and I have every right to have a lawyer n fight this. So is it true I can't have a lawyer and that you can't fight it and must pay?
Don't take the word of the party who is suing you and believe what they say. Definitely don't pay them any money until you have consulted with an attoney in your area about the merits of your defense.
