QUESTION

I may have being scammed by reptile exporter

Asked on May 20th, 2014 on Consumer Fraud - Florida
More details to this question:
We had tried to import live reptiles from exporter in Florida. We had made our orders of turtles and iguanas on 16 August 2012. We had divided our payment by paypal in two times. Our first payment was $1,500.00 on 16 August 2012 and our second payment of $2,000.00 by paypal was on 21 August 2012. After that he had made so many excuses for shipping the reptiles. We still haven't received the shipment until now. At first he was replying to our email or we even discussed through facebook. Last email received from his was on 09 April 2014. He had promised to send the shipment next week but didn't arrived. Now, he stopped responding to our email and also stopped responding on facebook.

Best bet would have been to start a pay-pal dispute and dispute the credit card charges. Other than that, the expense of multi-state litigation will likely out weigh the monies at issues so that it may just be money lost. Why this has been allowed to drag on unresolved going on two YEARS is astounding. If you have questions, you can always call us at 1-800-922-6442 for a FREE consultation.
