QUESTION

I was sold a defective boat

Asked on Feb 08th, 2021 on Consumer Fraud - Florida
More details to this question:
We were told this was a sound boat and sea worthy. We had a survey done and found minor defects that we had repaired to get insurance. We tried to sell the boat 4 months after purchasing it and the next buyer had a new survey done and it found major defects and we were unable to sell the boat. The second surveyor told us the first surveyor should have found these defects and told us about these major defects

This is not a fraud case but an E&O claim against the first surveyors insurance coverage. You need to retain a lawyer to address this depending on the boat value or damages. That you tried to sell the boat 4 months after purchase is going to be a point of interest if the first surveyor claims you damaged the boat somehow
