real estate fraud and contracts

More details to this question:
I can't live in a house were cats were because of a physical disability. my real estate agent was aware of this. she sold me a house knowing there had been cats in it recently. 5 weeks after the closing when she told me the truth. I cannot move into the house and am sick do I have recourse. she was aware of this and my lack of smell as you once was my neighbor. my husband and I are senior citizens and disabled. the house was 0ver$400,00.00 and I had work done to it which is when it was discovered. I am now out about $50,000.00 more. we cannot move into the house because it would result in serious health problems. this is in nj. do I have any recourse?

Yes, you might have a claim if the realtor was aware of the condition and aware of your health concerns regarding facts. So you might need to discuss with an attorney an action to rescind the contract or claim other damages.

We would need to review the facts. Do you have in writing that you told your agent that you could not purchase a home where cats have lived ? do you have proof that the cats lived there and that the agent had knowledge that the cats lived there ? was the agent also duped ?
