used boat purchace

More details to this question:
Purchased a used boat, private party. listing stated "new motor, outdrive". 1 week after pick up, tried to start in driveway,found issues. took to local marina, motor is bad, (original not new as seller stated) misrepresentation? fraud? or as is too bad?

This certainly does sound like a fraud or misrepresentation claim. If you cannot settle the matter with the seller, then you would have to file a claim in the courts to pursue the matter personally. If it is a true case of fraud, the local police or district attorney may also be interested in the matter.
