QUESTION

What can I do in this scenario can I sue ledger

Asked on Jan 05th, 2021 on Consumer Fraud - Florida
More details to this question:
Hello, I am a user of the wallet Ledger wallets. Recently publicly admitted by ledger they were breached for thousands of emails and phone numbers. I happened to be one of the leaked personnel. Phishing fraud links started being sent out by the thefts claiming to be from Ledger. I was victim to the phishing fraud and got 2 BTC stolen from my ledger wallet ($70,000) . I am curious to see what I can do about this . Ledger has not responded to any support claims and are not answering victims, I also filed a police report, police is doing nothing. I could've dodged the phishing fraud if I knew about this but at the end of the day this was Ledgers fault. I have no contract with ledger besides the terms filed when I bought the wallet device

This will likely require you hiring a lawyer to investiaget the issue and see if it can be related to the data breach. The focus will be on whether you did something that gave the thieves access to your accounts as opposed to the company's conduct so that all has ot be sorted out. You will likely need to spend some money to retain a lawyer to pursue such a claim and go from there as most lawyers will not sue online companies on a contingent fee basis.
