Can a company refund my payment without my consent?

More details to this question:
I bought an Xbox game online this Holiday season, downloaded it, and was able to use it for a few minutes. My credit card was charged. A few days later, due to a glitch on the vendor's side, I received a refund (I never asked for one) and am no longer able to play it. Their customer service representatives tell me that I should repurchase it, but the price increased and they refuse to honor the original price (they offered as compensation a subscription of some sort, which I don't need). Is there anything I can do to get the product back at the original price? I live in NJ. Thank you
You need to document in writing all that happened and make a complete record with the company. You must paint them into a corner with documentation. You will succeed. Ed Dimon
