can I get my money refunded from a store?

More details to this question:
I made an furniture purchase, it did not turn out good, I tryed to get a furniture transfer but the furniture I selected could not fit in my elevator. I paid over two hundred dollars extra for a different set. although It is niether their fault or mine, I just choose to scrape the deal and want my money refunded not a store credit,which I am told I have to take.

There is no law entitling you to a refund, so take the credit.  It is the best you can do.
