QUESTION

Car mileage rolled back

Asked on Jun 09th, 2021 on Consumer Law - Florida
More details to this question:
Just bought a 2007 Lexus ES 350 from a privet dealer here in Central FL. It was posted on FB, and shows in the car with only 139,000 miles on it. The privet dealer showed me the Carmax for it. But only the part saying its a clear Title with no accidents. So I did not question it. 2 days after I bought it, I ran the Carmax myself and found it had over 173k miles at the auction where the privet dealer got it. I am not sure what to do from this point on. James

You will likely need to retain a lawyer and address this with the dealer - typically for a refund. You can also report this to law enforcement to see if there is some criminal aspect to this.
