QUESTION

Credit Card Company Closed Account

Asked on Feb 03rd, 2016 on Consumer Law - Florida
More details to this question:
I had a Discover Card account and was keeping it in immaculate condition. I was recently given a substantial credit increase without asking. A few months later they just closed my account citing "Business Decision". I initiated a further review and interview and the Discover card investigator called me back and continued to spout the party line "It was a Business Decision". She wouldn't give me any further details. She told me that she just sent a letter to me and it said the same thing. "Business Decision". She also said that I would not be able to re-open this account. Do I have any legal recourses or a way to find out what "Business Decision" meant?

Sure, you will likely have to hire a lawyer to address this, but there is likely something about your credit risk or conduct that chnaged substantially that they will point to.
