More details to this question:
My son purchased a used vehicle from a dealership and the same day he purchased it the check engine light came on and they found out it needed a whole new motor. they had already got rid of his trade in. when they were finally able to get his trade back he had a hard time starting, radio no longer worked trashed inside dash cracked among other things. what can we do thank you for time

Check engine lights generally have nothing to do with engine condition. What can ro cannot be done all revolves around the contract terms of the transaction. Your son will likely need to retain a lawyer to review the paperwork and go from there
