QUESTION

Do I have grounds to sue?

Asked on May 07th, 2014 on Consumer Law - Florida
More details to this question:
Bought a car on April 29th, prior to purchase, took the car to a dealer and had it inspected. Dealer said there werent any major issues. Two days after purchase, had to replace the catalytic converter, two days after that I found out it had a blown head gasket. Talked with the mechanic who sold it to me and was told it was my problem and he would do nothing to help. There is no warranty with the car. The first night we had it, I started the car and heard a noise (turned out ot be the catalytic converter) took it back to the mechanic and he said he did not hear anything. Do I have a case or am I out of luck?

You may have a case against dealer, BUT it depends on what you asked them to inspect, etc. If bought as-is, not sellers fault dealer you picked didnt flag the problems, absent some proof of fraud. If you have questions, we provide FREE legal consultations at 1-800-922-6442.
