My email was hacked 6/2/17 and a company was saying they were yahoo and then transferred me to another company that wanted payment to fix the problem when they completed. I went to yahoo customer care and they wanted personal information about my emails and contacts and when I gave that to them, then they no longer had my account at all. They can't find it. Can I get an attorney to gain access to my account.? Or make yahoo tell me what happened to my account? Military veteran receiving benefits.

Yes, you can probably hire a lawyer if you want to incur the costs.
