How can I get my expenses recovered for unsatisfactory work?

More details to this question:
Had a mobile mechanic install a fuel pump. for $650. Afterwards my car would not take gas. He returned and said there was nothing I could do .I. took my car to the dealership that said the pump was installed incorrectly. Charged me $550 to correct the original mechanic's error. I also had to rent a car for a week for another $500. The mobile mechanic company refuses to refund my costs

Based on the facts you shared, you can sue the mechanic in small claims court.  That's your best available remedy.  Good luck!
