More details to this question:
I booked a trip for me, my husband and my 6 year old child through orbitz on the Emirate airlines going from Orlando, Fl to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia via Dubai. I am US/ Saudi citizen. when booking, i was asked to put in the nationality of my passport. because i didn't need entry/exit visa to go to Saudi Arabia, I put my Saudi passport. I continuted with my regular booking of choosing the time and dates i prefer with no problems. I got a confirmation with my itenerary number. I arrived 3 hours prior to my trip. at the tickiting stand, I was told that I couldn't travel to Saudi Arabia with my Saudi Passport because this trip is reserved for non-saudies going to Saudi Arabia for Hajj and Omrah. I have never heard of this situation. They wouldn't redirect my flight. I couldn't get my money back which was $+5,000. And now I am unable to travel. Furthermore, my husband and daughter who are US/Yemen nationals couldn't travel either because they were considered as residents of that country.

This all revolves around the terms and conditions of the booking agreement. You will need to review them thoroughly with a lawyer to determine who made the error and whether you are entitled to a credit or refund.
